Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyse the youth narrative entitled Minuano, by Tabajura Ruas, from the perspective of the historiographic metafiction of Linda Hutcheon (1991). The writer from Rio Grande do Sul undertakes a rereading of the Ragamuffin War, giving voice and time to those silenced by the discourse of official history. We intend to highlight elements of historiographic metafiction constructed throughout the story and explore how the work can contribute to the formation of critical readers, able to reflect on themselves and the world around them.
