Abstract
In this article we analyse the complex discursive agency of the narrative perspective category in Finisterra by Carlos de Oliveira. We contend, based on the presuppositions of contemporary narrative studies, that the configuration of all other structural elements of the narrative emanate from this agency. In this way, moreover, the reader also becomes a participant in the textual game, assuming a role analogous to that of the characters, the narrator and the author himself, recreated by the text.
