Abstract

The article proposes discussion on the formulation of histories of African Lusophone literature, in view of the temporal and chronological overlap with Portuguese colonial literature. In addition, the article highlights the works and authors required by the African national literary systems and Portuguese colonial literature. To achieve this, Ithamar Even-Zohar's polysystem theory is used to offer support to postcolonial perspectives.
